A good 3/16 inch or 5mm 60 degree vee carving gouge by HENRY TAYLOR of Sheffield.

Marked 'H TAYLOR SHEFFIELD' to the underside of the blade and stamped with the Acorn trade mark to the top.

Not marked with a sweep number however this gouge is a good match to a London pattern No.39 sweep.

Good beechwood handle with brass ferrule.

Previous owner's stamps 'W S DIAMOND'.

89/16 inches (218mm) overall length.
