A good 1/2 inch or 13mm No 1 carving chisel by HERRING BROTHERS of London.

Marked 'HERRING BROS LONDON ENG' to one side of the blade and 'PRIZE MEDALS' to the other.

Not marked with a sweep number however this chisel is a London pattern double bevelled No.1 sweep.

Very good beechwood handle with brass ferrule.
