An unusual set of 5 short or palm carving tools by HENRY TAYLOR of Sheffield.

We've not seen these before.

The set includes one each of the following:

1.) 1/2" (13mm) straight bevel edge chisel

2.) 7/16" (10mm) skew bevel edge chisel

3.) 3/4" (19mm) shallow gouge

4.) 1/8" (3mm) deep gouge

5.) 3/16" (5mm) vee tool

All have dumpy beechwood handles with brass ferrules and full or part trade labels.

The ferrule on the vee tool is split but firm and secure, please see close-up image.

A few letters and numbers are visible on the tangs by the ferrules, please see images.

Between 49/16  and 53/8 inches (115 - 136mm) overall length.
