Also sometimes referred to as a turning or frame saw.

Beechwood frame and handles with brass fittings.

Marked 'W MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENG' to both uprights.

Also stamped '1952 C 2206' with the military Broad Arrow mark, please see images.

Good 10 inch blade with an 8" tooth run, 9¹/₂" between the fixing pins.

No previous owner's stamps.

One old, treated and wax filled, worm exit hold to the larger handle plus a few very minor surface knocks and scratches, please see images.

12¹/₂ inches across the frame, 18¹/₄ inches across the handles.
