A scarce early 19th century stair builders' wooden handrail plane by Samuel LUNT of Liverpool.

Embossed mark 'S LUNT LIVERPOOL' to the toe.

Fitted with a 2 inch wide F STONES single blade iron, some pitting and staining spots, please see images.

Frederick STONES was active 1824 - 1833.

The two fence fixing holes have been repositioned by a previous owner.

Three old, wax filled, worm exit holes.

Previous owner's stamp 'J THACKWRAY'.

A little over 23/4 inches wide, 61/8" overall length.
