Marked 'HIBERNIA W.MARPLES & SON SHEFFIELD 4 LBS' with the Shamrock trade mark on the blade.

Also marked 'STEEL HEAD' on both cheeks near the poll.

6¹/₈ inches wide at the cutting edge.

Very good ashwood handle, previous owner's stamps 'T.SPICER'.
