Believed to be a model No.843 as shown in the 1899 Mathieson catalogue.

Marked 'A.MATHIESON & SON GLASGOW' with the Crescent & Star trade mark on front infill.

Also stamped 'STEEL' on the toe.

Fitted with a good length 2¹/₈ inch WARD blade iron and MATHIESON GLASGOW cap iron.

Gunmetal lever cap and screw.

Good rosewood infill.
