A very rare RECORD rabbit cast iron door stop.

Believed to date from the 1930s.

A blatant copy of the Sylvac bunnies that were produced from the 1930s through to the 1970s.  We understand that RECORD got into copyright trouble which may explain their rarity.

We have had both a RECORD gnome and frog but only ever heard rumors that they also produced a rabbit.  An internet search results in nothing apart from David Lynch's confirmation that they are believed to exist.

This one is marked 'RECORD' on both sides.

Some loss of the original dark blue finish.

7 inches high.

Approximately 6¹/₂ kg in weight.

02 August 2023: All know that the RECORD rabbit is rare and we mention the equally rare RECORD frog above.  One or two enthusiasts have been in touch to ask if they really did produce the frog and I am pleased to say that the one above has returned back to the UK from its extended holiday in North America.  Now happily part of a wonderful RECORD collection, please see the last five photos.
