An impressive No.97 twin iron Grecian ogee profile wide moulding plane by Alexander MATHIESON & SON of Glasgow.
Clear mark 'A MATHIESON & SON GLASGOW' with the Crescent & Star trade mark to the toe.
Stamped 'No 97 1 IN' on the heel.
Fitted with good length original blade irons and original wedges, some minor bruising to the wedge finials, please see images.
Very good boxing wear strip with no cracks or splits.
No previous owner's stamps.
A few minor surface knocks and scratches.
31/16 inches overall width, 91/2" overall length.
