A rare graduated set of four boxwood pipe organ tuning cones.

Period tuning cones are scarce and normally made of brass.

This is the first set of boxwood cones that we have seen.

Traditionally used to alter the pitch by slightly flaring or closing the organ pipes.

The smallest is a touch over 8 inches tall and ⁷/₈" in diameter at the base, the largest is 10" tall with a 2" base diameter.
